Friends · Colleagues · The same city

You're both in the same city. Now you know.

The friend you keep missing by a day. The colleague two blocks over. Crossways tells you when someone you know is in the area, so a trip you were both taking anyway turns into an hour together.

Crossways is in a small beta. Want in? Leave your email and we'll be in touch.

The near miss

Most of these go unnoticed.

You were three blocks apart on a Tuesday and heard about it in October, at a wedding, from someone else. It happens to people who travel constantly, and nothing on your phone is watching for it.

Crossways watches for exactly that, and lets you know.

Two routes · One city · Same afternoon

How it works

Three things, and one of them is a notification.

01

Add the people you'd want to run into

Scan a code, or use the number or email they already gave you. You note where you met, and that travels with them.

02

Take your trip as you would anyway

There is no itinerary to keep current and no arrival to log. Crossways works out which city you're in and leaves it at that.

One notification, when it happens

03

Reach out, or carry on

Open it and you get the city, when they arrived, and where the two of you met. What you do with an hour is up to you.

Friends

The pilot friend you never manage to see

She flies four days a week, you travel most months, and the two of you have been meaning to have dinner since 2023. Crossways is the thing that finally notices you're in the same place on the same night.

Colleagues and customers

The person you met at the conference, two years on

A good conversation at a booth in Fort Worth, then nothing but a quarterly email. When you land in her city, a coffee does more for that relationship than anything you could send her.

What you share

The city, with the people you chose.

Sharing is at city level, with people who confirmed you, and that is enough for the app to do its job. Dallas, not an address. You set how close counts as the same place, and you can pause sharing whenever you like, with nobody told that you did.

Read what you share, in plain words

City level

The city you are in, and the times you arrived. Your exact position is never stored.

Mutual, always

Nobody sees you until you accept them. Mute a friend to stop notifications, or remove them entirely.

Pause, any time

One tap stops your location being reported at all. Your account stays, and nobody is told.

Groups

Belong to an association? It gets better.

When your association or your employer sets up a group, the people you'd want to see are already there, and you choose who among them can see your city. The app on your phone stays exactly the same.

If you run one of those groups, start here
